After The Rain (The Son Will Shine)
Son, why has your countenance fallen
When you look upon the sons of men?
Do not have envy at things that shall perish
When our King comes back home again

God sends His rain on the just and unjust
The sun rise on both good and bad
If you see wicked men prosper in this world
Just lift your head - do not be sad.

          [Chorus]
The Truth is so plain
His blessings like rain
Shower down up-on all men.

But when the Son comes
And His justice is done
You shall be comforted then.

Though in this life, sinners get good things
And seem not to pay for their sins
Do not have envy as you have His promise
To be with Him when His rule begins

So love those who hate you, bless them that curse you
Do good and always do pray
For those who abuse you, despise you and use you
For they shall all perish away.
             [repeat chorus]

The Righteous shall live but the Wicked shall perish
For they only lived for their pleasure
But you are a dear child of our holy Father
And stored up much heavenly treasure.

             [repeat chorus]
